Aaliyah Dana Haaughton gained prominence after the release of her first album Age Ain't Nothing but A Number in the year 1994. At the age of 15 years old, the album earned Gold recognition. R. Kelly heavily influenced the group and helped bring her to the forefront. In the year 1996 Jermaine and Timbaland released Aaliyah's second album One In A Million. Her acting career began with minor TV and film roles, but her popularity increased in the mid 2000s. In addition, she has appeared on Leverage, Suits, Grey's Anatomy as well as Grey's Anatomy.
