Keerthy Suresh

Keerthy Suresh (born 17 October 1992) is an Indian actress that appears mainly in Tamil and Telugu films in addition to several Malayalam films. She was awarded the National Film Award's Best Actress award for portraying Savitri as the lead actor in the Telugu Film Mahanati (2018). The actress also won three SIIMA Awards and a Filmfare Award South. Keerthy Kumar's parents include film producer G. Suresh Kumar & actress Menaka G. Suresh. Her acting journey began at the beginning of 2000. She played her debut lead role in Geethaanjali (2013 Malayalam). She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). In 2015, Keerthy accepted her first films outside of Malayalam and was signed to appear in several Tamil films simultaneously. The first film she acted in came in A. L. Vijay's romantic comedic Idhu Enna Maayam (2015) which was a co-production with Vikram Prabhu, though the film was not a success in the theater. In order to fit in more ambitious projects, she needed to pull out of films she had already begun working on. These included Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye as well as Deekay's Kavalaivendam. She then worked on Rajini Murugan's Remo and Remo in two films. Additionally, Dhanush and she played leading roles for Prabhu Solomon's Thodari. Though the release date for Janakitho Nenu is not yet announced, it is reported that the film could be released in September 2020. Nenu Sailaja was released in 2016 and was starring in the role of actor Ram Pothineni. Keerthy was first seen with Bairavaa (directed by Bharathan) opposite actor Vijay. She has also appeared as a Tamil actress in Paambhu Sattai as well as an Telugu actor in Nenu Local.
